What do the team do?
Our IT team plays an important role in helping the firm operate more efficiently, make better-informed decisions and continue to improve the way we deliver services to our clients.
As part of our growing data and digital transformation team, you will help develop, maintain and enhance reporting and analytical solutions that support decision-making across the firm. Working primarily with data from our Practice Management System and associated business applications, you will transform complex data into meaningful insight using SQL, Power BI and other Microsoft technologies.
The firm's reporting environment is built primarily around Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI, with data sourced from Practice Management, Finance, HR, CRM and other operational systems. This role will play a key part in the ongoing development of our reporting, data warehouse and wider business intelligence capabilities.
What will I be doing?
As a Data Analyst you will have ownership of the following tasks:

Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports and KPI scorecards that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders across the firm.

Analysing business performance data, identifying trends and opportunities across areas such as fee income, utilisation, WIP, debtors and operational performance.

Writing, optimising and maintaining SQL queries, datasets and reporting models to support business intelligence and decision-making.

Supporting the ongoing development of the firm's data warehouse, integrating data from multiple systems and helping to improve data quality.

Creating and maintaining Power BI data models, DAX calculations and Power Query transformations.

Working closely with Partners, Department Heads and operational teams to translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytical solutions.

Promoting a data-driven culture by providing user support, maintaining reporting documentation and contributing to data governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

A degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance or a similar discipline (minimum criteria).
- Prior experienceworking in a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence role within a professional services firm (minimum criteria).

Strong SQL Server experience, including advanced SQL querying, query optimisation and data modelling.

Experience developing reports using Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, dashboard development and row-level security.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query and data analysis techniques.

Experience working with relational databases and large datasets.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
