What do the team do?
The Insolvency & Recovery team support a range of clients, including companies looking to restructure, creditors requiring debt recovery support and individuals facing personal insolvency. The types of work that they undertake includes formal insolvency appointments (such as administrations and liquidations), independent reviews/preparation of financial forecasts, debt restructuring, HMRC arrears solutions and accelerated mergers and acquisitions (AMAs).
Led by two partners, the team is predominately focused on work across the East Anglia region. We have a well-established network of local contacts that regularly refer work to us, as such we're looking to grow the team in our Norwich office to meet growing demand.
What will I be doing?
As an Insolvency & Recovery Senior you will have ownership of the following tasks:
- Providing administrative support to the insolvency practitioners and other senior members of the insolvency team e.g.
- Drafting client engagement packs
- Dealing with written enquiries from creditors, directors and other stakeholders
- Data input and use of insolvency case management software
- Completing corporation tax and VAT returns
- Preparation of statutory documentation
- Liaising with creditors, debtors and stakeholders to obtain information in an appropriate manner.
- Creating and implementing case strategies.
- Communicating any problems to the insolvency practitioners and problem solving.
- Liaising with solicitors and agents in respect of investigations.
- Processing distributions / dividends to members and creditors.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in insolvency (minimum criteria).
- CPI part qualified / qualified (minimum criteria).
- Ability to delegate to junior team members, as necessary.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft (Excel and Word) and Outlook.
