What do the team do?

The IT department is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all end users. The department is responsible for resolving any IT-related faults quickly and efficiently, including a broad range of queries from how to set up an email account to system diagnostics.

All the members of the IT team are expected to undertake whatever tasks are required and to be highly mobile, visiting all the sites when required.

What will I be doing?

As an IT Support Technician you will have ownership of the following tasks: 

• Providing first-line support to end-users for IT-related issues.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
• Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Performing routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment.
• Assisting in managing user accounts and permissions for new starters and processing leavers.
• Helping maintain and produce in-house IT systems and process documentation.
• Full UK driver's license, and access to own means of transport essential. This role will involve regular travel to all offices of Price Bailey as required (Bishop's Stortford, Cambridge, London, Norwich and Peterborough).

What experience do I need?

Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

• Work experience in a similar role and / or an education to at least A-level in a relevant field (minimum criteria).
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software (minimum criteria).
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Problem analysis and resolution skills and experience.
• Strong verbal and written business communications skills.
