What do the team do?
This position sits within the Credit Control team within the Finance department. The purpose of this role is to ensure our sales ledger is accurately maintained and to provide administrative support to the team.
What will I be doing?
As a Sales Ledger Maintenance Clerk you will have ownership of the following tasks:
- Posting and allocating daily receipts, including cheques, card payments and bank transfers.
- Drafting fees and credit notes upon request.
- Assisting the Credit Control team with outstanding queries by chasing internally for resolutions.
- Setting up new direct debit mandates and process daily amounts to be collected by DD.
- Reviewing client ledgers and ensuring we refund any overpayments.
- Supporting the Credit Control team through the firms yearly TIS renewals.
- Supporting the Finance team with any other ad hoc administration tasks.
What experience do I need?

- Experience working in a professional office environment (minimum criteria).
- Good attention to detail (minimum criteria).
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Able to demonstrate reliability, discretion, confidentiality and flexibility.
- Professional manner and appearance.
- Have basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics.
