Strategic Corporate Finance Executive (0041)

What do the team do?

The Strategic Corporate Finance team provides powerful, insight-led strategies to ambitious organisations, supporting them through every stage of their business lifecycle. The team has significant cross-sector knowledge and provides advisory services including; financial modelling and due diligence, growth through M&A, business owner exit strategies, and company valuations to name just a few.  The team is spread across our London, Bishop's Stortford, Cambridge and Norwich offices.

You will work as part of the established Strategic Corporate Finance team and this role will see you supporting on deals typically spanning between £1m – £30m, with a mix of corporate, private equity and capital market transactions.

This is an interesting, varied role and would suit an individual looking to start a career within Corporate Finance and experience the full range of services.

 

What will I be doing?

As a Strategic Corporate Finance Executive you will be involved in a variety of client projects of which you will have ownership of the following tasks:

  • Supporting senior members of the team on a wide range of small to mid-market deals through the preparation of financial due diligence (FDD) reports, Information Memoranda, buy-side target and sell-side buyer research, valuation reports and financial models.
  • Analysing financial statements, management information and deal documentation for the preparation of due diligence reports and sales documents.
  • Preparing market research to support the valuation of companies and potential buyers under sale mandates as well as target companies for acquisitive clients.
  • Assisting with project management of M&A processes.
  • Supporting in identifying potential clients, creating suitable engagement proposal documents and supporting prospective client pitches and presentations.
  • Building internal and external relationships with colleagues, prospects and introducers and helping to develop the SCF and Price Bailey brands in the market.

What experience do I need?

Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

  • ACA / ACCA finalist / qualified or CFA part-qualified / qualified (minimum criteria).
  • Client facing experience in a practice environment (minimum criteria). 
  • Exposure to mid-market / SME clients is essential. 
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Commercially astute.
