What do the team do?

As a senior member of the Compliance department, it will be your responsibility to support the partners with audit quality control, as well as dealing with technical queries of an audit, financial reporting and ethics.

 

What will I be doing?

As a Technical Manager / Senior Manager you will have ownership of the following tasks:

  • Assisting with a range of technical queries including in relation to audit, financial reporting, ethics, and some specialist reporting areas such as pensions, SAR, and FCA.
  • Carrying out root causes analysis.
  • Researching technical issues and be able to produce a summary of findings.
  • Reviewing changes to standards and communicating these to the firm.
  • Providing training on key audit, financial reporting, and other practical areas for staff.
  • Assisting with the drafting of procedures and policy documents.

What experience do I need?

Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

  • A professional accounting qualification – ACA / ACCA (minimum criteria).
  • Holder of the ICAEW's Audit Qualification (AQ) (minimum criteria).
  • Practical audit experience and experience of reviewing files either as an audit manager or in a quality control role.
  • FRS 102 and IFRS knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of summarising reports on findings in a concise manner.
  • Experience of audit software (we use Caseware) and Microsoft packages.
